By the founder of ProJapan — 100+ international brands localized for Japan.
There are two boxes. Your listing is already in one of them.
Within seconds of landing on your product page, a Japanese shopper sorts your brand into one of two boxes: imported quality or cheap basket.
The decision isn't conscious and it isn't about your product. It's about signals — the style of your hero image, the syntax of your title, the quality of your Japanese typography, the depth of your A+ content, the trust cues a Japanese buyer expects and looks for without thinking.
Most foreign brands on Amazon Japan run a translated version of their US listing. The English was localized word-for-word; the signals were not. So the listing reads as foreign, thin, and slightly off — and it gets filed under cheap basket. Once there, conversion is capped and you're forced into price competition with Temu-tier sellers who will always undercut you.
The fix isn't more ad spend. It's moving the brand into the other box: Japanese-typeset images, copy written natively for the Japanese market (not translated into it), and messaging matched to how sophisticated that category's buyers already are. When the signals are right, the same product earns a premium price — because the shopper now reads it as worth one.
This is the only thing we do. We've watched the pattern repeat across more than 100 brands.
One listing. Rebuilt completely.
The Amazon Japan Listing Transformation is a full rebuild of a single listing — every asset a Japanese shopper sees, reconsidered for the Japanese market.
- 01
Seven listing images
Hero plus six, designed and typeset for Japanese buyers, information-dense the way this market expects.
- 02
Full A+ content
Premium A+ where your brand is eligible, standard A+ where it isn't, built as one cohesive scroll, not a stack of disconnected blocks.
- 03
Native Japanese copywriting (transcreation)
Title, bullets, and description written by Tokyo-based specialists for how Japanese shoppers read and search. This is transcreation, not translation: we rebuild the message, not the sentence.
- 04
Keyword research
Japanese keyword research across kanji, hiragana, katakana, and romaji variants, plus backend search terms — because Japanese buyers search the same concept four different ways.
- 05
Strategic positioning
We place your messaging at the right market-sophistication stage for your category, so you're not making a level-one claim in a level-four market.
Delivered as a complete, upload-ready package. Founder-led strategy and quality control on every project; execution by our Tokyo-based specialist network.

-
DAYS 36–40
Handoff.
Final upload-ready assets, organized and documented.
Ten slots a month, because that's how many projects one founder can personally quality-control at this standard. The cap is the reason the work is good.
Ten slots a month. The price rises as they fill.
We take ten projects a month — no more — because every project gets founder-led QC and a 30–40-day build, and that's the honest ceiling for one person holding the standard. As the month's slots fill, the price moves up. Early slots are the lowest price; the last slot is the highest. The scarcity is real, not a countdown gimmick.
June 2026: 6 of 10 slots open.
Current price: $3,900.
Next band at slot 7. Resets to the opening band on the 1st.

We update the slot count by hand. If it's stale when you reach out, we'll tell you where the month stands.

Before you commit to a transformation, get the diagnosis. The 360° Japan Listing Audit is a complete teardown of your current Amazon Japan presence:
- 01
Design — what your images and A+ signal to a Japanese shopper, and where they leak trust.
- 02
Copywriting — where translation is costing you, line by line.
- 03
Market sophistication — what stage your category is at and whether your messaging matches it.
- 04
Go-forward strategy — the specific moves, in priority order.
Format: A written teardown (PDF) plus a recorded walkthrough (Loom), delivered within 3 business days.
The $300 is fully credited toward your transformation slot if you proceed. If you don't, you keep the audit and owe nothing more — it's yours either way.
You'll tell us your brand, your listing, your numbers, and what you think is broken. We'll tell you what's actually broken.

Who's behind this.
Kintsugi Partners is led by Umair Jutt. He previously founded and exited ProJapan, through which he and his team localized Amazon Japan listings for 100+ international brands — which is where the two-boxes pattern stopped being a theory and became something he could see coming a mile away.
He leads strategy and personally quality-controls every project. Execution is handled by a Tokyo-based specialist network — native Japanese designers and copywriters who know how this market actually reads.
No account managers, no hand-offs to a junior team. The person who diagnoses your listing is the person who signs off on the work.
Questions, answered straight.
- Q.01 Why not just use a Fiverr listing service or AI translation?
- Because they translate; we transcreate. A ~$90 translation swaps your English for Japanese words and leaves every cultural signal foreign — which is exactly what files you under cheap basket. The whole point of this service is the signals, not the sentences.
- Q.02 Why does it take 30–40 days?
- Because diagnosis, native copywriting, Japanese typesetting, and A+ architecture done to a premium standard — with founder QC at each stage — can't be rushed without becoming the thing we're hired to fix. Premium delivery, not rushed delivery.
- Q.03 I have multiple ASINs. Can you do all of them?
- The offer is one listing per slot, deliberately — it's how we hold the standard. If you have several, we'll sequence them across slots (and months) and tell you honestly which to do first based on revenue and opportunity.
- Q.04 Do you guarantee results / a conversion lift?
- No, and you should be skeptical of anyone in this market who does — conversion depends on your price, reviews, ad spend, and competition, none of which a listing rebuild controls. What we guarantee is the craft: founder QC on every asset and revisions until you sign off. We sell the best possible listing, not a number we can't honestly promise.
- Q.05 What exactly do I get?
- Seven listing images, full A+ content (Premium where eligible), native Japanese copy for title/bullets/description, Japanese keyword research including backend terms, and a positioning strategy — all delivered upload-ready.
- Q.06 Who actually does the work?
- Umair leads strategy and QC. A Tokyo-based specialist network of native Japanese designers and copywriters executes. You work with the founder throughout.
- Q.07 What happens after I pay?
- You get an intake confirmation and your build window. Day 1 we start diagnosis and research; you'll have review points before final handoff. If you bought the audit first, your $300 is already credited.
- Q.08 Why is the price different depending on when I buy?
- Ten slots a month, and the price rises as they fill. Early slots are the lowest, the last slot is the highest. It's a real cap tied to delivery capacity, not a fake timer.
- Q.09 Do I need Premium A+ to work with you?
- No. We build Premium A+ where your brand is eligible and standard A+ where it isn't — and we'll tell you how to become eligible if you're close.
- Q.10 What if I just want a second opinion first?
- That's exactly what the $300 audit is for. Get the teardown, keep it regardless, and credit it toward a slot if you decide to move.
